What a rare find! I like the softness in that it looks like something out of this world - an alien husk, not quite real. The prayers have ended for this particular shell. Could be a metaphor for immortality in that. Brenda

Thanks Shirley, I'm with you on that one Bruce. After I took this shot, a slight gust blew this out onto the leaves and couldn't find it anymore.

I've never seen a praying mantis shell, it really neat! I've only seen cicada shells on tree trunks, lot of em. I love the lighting on this shot. It really makes the skelital shell glow.
