From Crabtree Falls, I headed back south on the Parkway towards Mount Mitchell State Park. Along the way is a trail that heads up to a fire tower on Green Knob. I got the info from Peter Barr's new book - Hiking North Carolina's Lookout Towers. The 360 degree view is incredible.
