Gardenstown

Gardenstown, Banffshire, Scotland.

Gardenstown nestles into sheer red sandstone cliffs and folds of snooker table green beize grass. Its setting is truly spectacular and it has a history of savage winter storms and wet season mudslides to contend with, but on a fine summers day beneath a blue sky it really does look like the best possible place to spend a holiday away from it all.

NEW!! Photographic workshops at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

What a spectacular place, I bet its fun living in those cottages in a North Sea storm! I must say that although I prefer the west coast of Scotland generally, the east has all the cosiest villages by the look of it.
