Very rare early series P-51. Notice the shape of the canopy, it is not bubble type like on the more popular P-51D model.

The type of canopy shown is known as a MALCOLM HOOD, which gave better all around visibility for the pilot. The P-51 D then had the full bubble canopy. Great photo - I'm sure "BUD" Anderson would like this one!!!!
