Well John, you never seem to be at a loss for interesting shots and the shallow DOF certainly adds to this one. Like the rings on a tree, it looks like it took a while for the coffee to mature. Bill

Aaahhh.. My favorite coffee shop... Just went there awhile ago...

John, I really like your rework. Much more on the point! Very good!

Nice composition - I love the different shades of brown, the patterns in the wooden table, and the DOF!

Hi John. Good shot, good use of DOF. I see you got the A900, Now I am suffering from one of the cardinal sins LOL. Enjoy the A900.

I got rid of the frame, because I originally thought that the gallery background would be black but in this grey gallery, I don't think I need it.. I responded to Frank's remarks by redoing the black edge, and sharpening the cup. The previous version is in the demo folder.

Very striking composition and light here, John. I like that bill left on the table as well. Nice shot!

Hi John. The combination of picture and title grabbed my feelings strongly. About 10 years ago, a cup of coffee on a tiny table was all that made sense to me. The OOF at the top beyond the cup was very much how frightening and unclear the future looked to me. I'm not whining ... at the time my world made sense at most 30 minutes into the future and this picture encapsulates that perfectly.

Hey, John, do they charge you by the # of rings in your cup over there?
Cute idea.

John, I like the composition of this. Also the DOF works very well, but my pref would be to have the st*r... in focus. Seems like you have been doing a lot of pp to eliminate the background. The rest of this is a bit too much obvious at the front of the table IMHO.
