Yes, I did compare them. One big difference is that the more you stroke, the darker it gets. The art history brush is a more painterly oil style, I think. The stamp pattern creates a more watercolor effect. I still need a lot of practice

Yes I used it for the first time myself this week. i remain confused as to how it differs from the (Art) History Brush but confusion is good. I used it on our Family Picture in the Special Challenge Gallery. You did much better than I - did you compare result to the other History brush? Terry
