I love Eli more than words can express, but that kid is one tough cookie to console when he is upset, which is often. Daddy just doesn't have the magic touch. We're not quite sure, but we suspect he might have some sort of acid reflux going on. It's tough to keep him comfortable most days, and it breaks my heart to see him in such discomfort. Acid reflux? Yea, I know things could be a lot worse. But still, I wish I could absorb his ailment as my own so that he could be more comfortable. I hope that as days go on he'll get better.
One thing that has helped a bunch is a new swing that is on loan to us from Scott and Sheri. Shayela is too big for it now, and so they lent it to us for Eli to use. He really enjoys swinging in it most of the time, and actually falls asleep in it quite often. It's pretty sweet. You can swing him front to back, or pivot it 90 degrees and swing side to side. Plus it plays music and has a mirror and mobile for him to look at. Thanks for the loaner, guys.
I've had these strange urges lately to photograph certain things. Nothing like in list form, just spur of the moment ideas. It's been going on since about the sprinkler shot in late august. I'll see something and just know it has to be shot or I'll go nuts. The crabapple shot and the leaves falling shot were two other recent ones that I literally dropped everything I was doing to go shoot them.
This swing shot was another one of them. Not that it's gonna win any awards or become a fine art piece, just that I needed to take a shot of the swing in motion. The mind works in weird ways I guess.
