Eventually the cubs swam across Cayoosh Creek and joined 'mom'.
So how is it a 'black' bear has a cinnamon colored cub? Because the name 'Black' Bear is a misnomer ... ie ... the species can be black, brown, cinnamon, blonde or even white. When the Europeans first arrived, the bears they saw were all black thus they named them 'Black' Bears. Later it was discovered this same species of bear came in other colors ... and in the words of Paul Harvey: "now you know the rest of the story".
