This is both uplifting and reflective. The hidden light radiates out - like hope, or a promise, or even a dream that can't be fully realized in the present. But we persevere, and keep flying into the wind as the gulls must. We trust that the light will be there for us whenever we need its guidance.

This is a terrific shot.

I fell in love with this photograph David! Great sun beams and the seagull right where you needed him, hope you thanked him as he flew on by! Beautiful morning colors and haze. Really a great shot.

"How much more there is now to living! Instead of our drab slogging forth and back to the fishing boats, there’s reason to life! We can lift ourselves out of ignorance, we can find ourselves as creatures of excellence and intelligence and skill. We can be free! We can learn to fly!" (Jonathan Livingston Seagull).

Excellent!!

This is very nice, the subdued lighting with a patch of sun hitting the horizon combined with the bird silhouette all contribute to a beuatiful image. Very well done David.
