That bell tower (bell tower?) leading to the shaded sky is most enchanting, and I like the way you handled exposure - subtle and mysterious without being dark and ominous. The modern stuff in the foreground is to me jarring, in addition to the fact that you should correct for converging verticals.
There is another interpretation. That is, it's a study in contrasing shapes. If that's so, it's a very good start. Then you should re-think your exposure, and also firgure out what to do with the trees, which always are a problem in this situation. Keep working on this idea, because it's a good one.
