Yes, it's THAT Venus de Milo, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, also known as
the Aphrodite of Milos. Discovered in 1820 on the Aegean island of Milos, the statue
was sculpted sometime around 100 BC. She's not looking too bad for a lady over two
thousand years old!
Photo Tip: As you might imagine this is a popular room at the Louvre and it's difficult
to get a clear shot of the Venus due to the crowds. Tip: Go early and good luck!
