Dress Circle Sweep, 10mm

The theatre has three tiers, and a capacity of 900. Updated and extended in the early 1990's, the stage is pretty much unchanged since Edwardian times, with teak boards and a slope, making it very hard to dancve on it, and rope riggings. Most large productions on tour will have to adapt to the limited space and equipment in one way or another, but the wonderful intimate character of the theatre more than compensates for it.

Great shots of the theartre. I only ever visit once a year when its full of screaming kids ( mine included) at christmas. I think I prefer it like this

From a time when there were sufficient craftsmen around. Such a warm place - I'm glad you snuck in a tour.

Sloping stage? I guess the line dancing will have to take place somewhere else then?

Great shot under a difficult lighting situation.
