Variegated Meadowhawk, female

Variegated Meadowhawk, Sympetrum corruptum

Oka Ponds, a sudden irruption of female Variegated Meadowhawks, but this is one of the
older gals, at least not first day -- her wings don't have that glossy look of a teneral. You
can also tell by the way they fly: tenerals fly a few meters and land in deep vegetation
as soon as they can, unlike their older siblings who zip around, hover and fly away...

other sizes: small medium large original auto
