Departing from outside the McNeil spit, we flew up the river and enjoyed a great view of the "development" at the santuary. Click on Original size, and you can see, from left to right, a staff cabin, the old original cabin, a second staff cabin, the cook shack, and -- if you look carefully -- the much appreciated sauna. Fish & Game staff are standing on the spit, waving goodbye.
