Wanda at 137 miles 09_06_08.jpg

This is not the most flattering photo. It is the only snap shot of Wanda I had time to take as she rode in the LOTOJA race.

She managed almost a smile here after already being in the saddle for about 10 hours, climbing over three mountain ranges and clocking 137 miles. I'm still in awe of the 1000 riders that took on this challenge.

And here's me wondering how on earth I am going to manage 33 miles of flat London roads in May!! Although Wanda has the advantage of fitness!

you and my "east coast" fans pass the hat and come up with the funding for the trip, and I'll be happy to come participate in the tour de Georgia so you can cheer Me on. (GRIN)

Bill: I know how proud you are of her, but take heed. The same qualities that allowed her to push on for 66 more miles and two more mountains after her body told her it was time to quit can have a negative effect on your life as well. Once someone THAT stubborn gets an idea in her head they NEVER let it go. You had better make very sure that you ALWAYS stay on her good side!!!! :-)

Wanda...that just impresses me no end. Way to go.....you really haven't even been biking that long. You should be proud...and I bet you are. Congrats from Sally and me............
