A few years ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Gemini North observatory on Mauna Kea, Hawaii, on assignment for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. I took this photo of the 8-meter reflector just after sunset on an early fall day in October, 2002. I used a Nikon 16mm fisheye lens and Fuji 800 negative film.
