founded in 1872, constructed by Ödön Lechner, completed in 1896, art nouveau style.
The Museum of Applied Arts in Budapest was the third museum
to be built in Europe after fellow institutions in London (1857) and Vienna (1864).
The dome - decorated with Zsolnay ceramics - catches the eyes from afar.

This is my favorite building in Budapest so far. I saw it on my first day here, on the way home from the airport, and was finally able to visit two weeks ago. Lovely capture, the colors are great.
