In the early spring we saw a tagged and an untagged swan in the NE area of the property. It was too far away to see the tag number. We saw them twice that day. Since then, we've heard the occasional trumpet call. On August 28, 2008 the pair were in the SE area of the marsh east of the gate. We did not see any cygnets, although we only spent ~ 5 to 10 minutes watching them. We heard them calling occasionally during the next 5 days. The call was different ... one syllable notes at times. They moved further east from the laneway and were becoming more difficult to locate.
