I have to agree with them both, but I still think that looks yummy. I might have to make one of those one day. I sure like the idea, now where do you but cinnamon ice cream?

I often wonder if photographers should be as precise as a painter when he shots a still life. And by that I mean paying close attention to the colors and composition. Over time I have been forced to accept that we should, especially in the area of a still life. However there are many still life images that are created in uncontrolled lighting situations such as I think this was. So I agree with Frank the light is overwhelmed by the red place mat I understand that you did not have the benefit of lots of time to shot this because it would either melt or be eaten by others as you arrange the scene. LOL

I'm not too convinced by the colours, Tom. I think the tablecloth is causing too many coloured reflections and playing havoc with the WB. The strong pattern also IMHO distracts from the subject. Frank
