The path shown in the previous image leads down to this bench & wooden signpost. To the right the trail splits with a well-signed but forbidden path leading to the Oilbird grotto (you can only take this path in the company of an AWC guide)whilst the other path leads down past a White-bearded Manakin lek to the area where singing Bearded Bellbirds can be seen.
The area around this sign post is good for Golden-headed Manakin & Violaceous Trogon whilst further down the trail a view over a small valley often gives good views of Channel-billed Toucans & raptors -sometimes including Ornate Hawk-Eagle (a pair nest in the AWC grounds but luck is needed to see them & the nest site itself is not accessible).
