I am sitting on a large compass that pinpoints the co-ordinates of famous landmarks in the area. Directly east from where I'm sitting is the James Joyce Tower,
which will be familiar to lovers of his famous oeuvre "Ulysses".
My Aunt Violet, who knew him personally, used to repeat me what Joyce had told her:
"A bear of genius makes no mistakes;
his errors are volitional
and are the portals of discovery".
