Pro Harp

Achromatic August 2008

This is my Hohner Pro Harp harmonica which I bought 25 years ago.
It is tuned in D major which is perfect for me because I like to
play blues in A major. I have owned other harmonicas made by Hohner,
a Blues Harp and a Chromatic harmonica. If you don´t know much about
harmonicas the difference is that the latter one uses a button-activated
sliding bar and you can play in any key desired. The Pro Harp and the Blues Harp
are designed for playing in one particular key only. I also used a "neck-rack" or
holder which allowed me to play the guitar. Look at old videos of Bob Dylan and
you know what I mean. If you want to know what is sounds like there are lots of vidoes at youtube.

Here is a guy (NOT ME) using the same harmonica that I have and it has excactly
the same sound/mood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Dgbh61I0sI
(Don´t listen if you dislike harmonicas..)

PS! The sunglasses? Well, they are kind of part of the package I think..

Cool shot, gives me some inspiration to take a pictures of the 2 Hohner harps I got at concerts (Marine Band-Graham Nash handed to me & a Special 20 tossed at the Bridge School Benefit by John Popper-Blues Traveler that I caught in mid-air!)

Da jeg så thumbnailen, tenkte jeg på blues. Artig å åpne bildet og lese det du skriver. Flott kobling, god tekst + bildet som illustrerer dette så godt.
Liker utsnittet og plassering av elementene. Godt illustrasjonsfoto.
