Velvet Bull Elk in Fog

#47221 The bull elk are now starting get in position for the 2008 rut in Boxley Valley. This morning I observed 14 bulls in a separate herd, for the first time they were near the cows and not at the south end of the Boxley Valley. This picture is of three of the largest bulls, plus the very largest of the bunch, a 6x5 bull. Rut is about a month off now.
