my back yard in dewdrops on a lily bud - brenda
by

The greenery on the right side is a cedar beside my house. The deep rose-red is a massive pink lily plant. Beyond it is the green lawn, with an overturned red rowboat in the background. Behind this are the trees across the river.

Very nicely done, looks like you have a very nice garden that you spend a lot of time in tending and observing, you sure are getting some nice shots there!

Thanks, Shirley. I did flip it so I could figure out what I was looking at but it looked strange, like an anti-gravity thing. So I put it back.

This is actually looking through the droplet to the scene beyond, which is refracted, rather than reflected. I guess that's why it's upside-down?

It's like the whole yard framed in a drop of water. I wonder how strange would it look if you flipped it upside down so the yards were right side up? I've not yet been able to get a great reflection like this, in a droplet. I'll keep on trying though!
