7 August - TITC: In and Out

Hmmm... this is more of an "in and out" story than a shot...

On our way to Basingstoke last Friday we queued up to a roundabout
where a rather flustered looking man was rushing round picking up
his tools off the road, onto which they'd obviously fallen when the
back door of his van had flown open. Eventually the traffic got going
& on we went. I stopped at a garage to get some petrol and when walking
back to the car I noticed that I'd obviously driven through something
white as it had been splashed all the way down the side of the car.

"Oh yes!" said my son "Didn't you see the tin of white paint on the
road at that roundabout?!" AAAAAARGH!!! So my NEW BLACK (rather sporty!!)
car has been IN AND OUT of the garage whilst they have been trying to scrape,
steam & clean the white paint off the BLACK paintwork!!!

And the kids have been in & out of the car & their car seats all

Lovely photo ... but I don't think that's what was intended by the 'customer parking' sign!
Laura Sebastianelli09-Aug-2008 14:08

Great story (sorry)...did you at least get a shot of your black & white car? ;o)
At least the kids had comfy seats. None of it really worked out well for you, did it...
Dawn McKenzie-Wykes08-Aug-2008 00:32

Great story, very well told in words and image. Your little girl's patience is being well tested!
carolynne_w07-Aug-2008 23:33
Isn't it interesting that they preface stories with "Didn't you see ....."
sue anne07-Aug-2008 23:23

J. Scott Coile07-Aug-2008 19:14

Great shot, and the first parking place for kids I´ve seen.
Phillip Normanton07-Aug-2008 17:32
Erm, couldn't you just paint the white bits black... a bit of emulsion would've sorted it... ;-)
Argh - nightmareish stuff :((
McGarva07-Aug-2008 17:13
You should have posted a picture of your black and white car!
CreativeWiseGal07-Aug-2008 17:02

Guest 07-Aug-2008 16:42
Not a good day!
royalld07-Aug-2008 16:32
She has the gangster lean going on that arm-rest...
Sorry to hear about your ride.
You might say the paint will give the car some character; in my neighborhood we call it soul.
Dan Chusid07-Aug-2008 16:29
You really wanted a white (rather sporty) car anyway,
didn't you?
Rose Atkinson07-Aug-2008 16:19
Arrggh ! I'll bet the air was blue....
Nice shot of Lottie... she looks quite the tennis pro !
Dave Hein07-Aug-2008 16:11
Where were those sporty car seats when *I* was a kid!
Sporting cars sometimes look good with racing stripes. Not yours, probably. :)
Walter Otto Koenig07-Aug-2008 16:04
Nightmare city. Hope all is well son. Great shot!
Maaike Huizer07-Aug-2008 15:51

Faye White07-Aug-2008 15:25

Johnny JAG07-Aug-2008 15:24
Oops! I think that's the expression you're looking for.
It should save customers child parking!
Sheila07-Aug-2008 15:24

Poor kids, bored out of their minds.
