PAD B for 7/27/08

I am experimenting with my new Hoya R72 infrared filter. The fuzziness is due to the very slow shutter speed needed and because of the wind. The shots look more like B & W shots than infrared. More experimentation is needed. Although the filter is supposed to be used for infrared film, there are photographers who have been have been getting wonderful results using the filter with post processing. I need a lot of practice!

That's a long exposure. Can you even see through the viewfinder to compose and focus?? I'm imagining the IR filter turns the viewfinder black, as if you had the lens-cap on.
