Rosette Nebula, NGC 2237

The Rosette Nebula, also known as NGC-2237, 2238, 2239, 2246, and within the nebula, open star cluster NGC 2244, spans one degree of arc in the constellation Monoceros, near Orion. This photo is a combination of two one-hour photos taken with a Nikon F3 and a 500mm f/4 lens and Kodak E200 slide film. It was taken at Harrington Beach State Park in Lake Church, Wisconsin in March of 2006.
