hoe work

This farm worker was hand irrigating a giant field full of these tall plant sticks. I saw him as I drove by and had to turn around and go back. I asked at the farm stand if it was OK to go out on the field and then walked out. He was pretty surprised to see me but agreed to let me shoot. The morning sun gave good modelling and no fill flash was needed.

I love natural light portraits! One of the un-sung heros in our country. They work long days, in all types of weather, very physical work to put food on our tables and fiber for our clothing. -Jim

Nice portrait. I like the pose, expression and light. The plant sticks give this a surreal feel. "V"
