Graine a Voler

For years I have been wanting to go to where these lotus grow, usually in marshland where the alligators live.
Today I had the opportunity to search for them and the search was magnificent. There were hundreds and hundreds of them far out in the marshland of southeastern Louisiana that one can reach only by boat. PBaser Scott Schexnaydre took me in his flatboat and we skimmed across Lake Des Allemands and through the canals and into the marsh where the beautiful graine a voler grows.
We launched before daylight and enjoyed a glorious break of dawn and sunrise and marveled at the birds, alligators and cypress trees that make up the Louisiana marsh.

This is absolutly beautiful. There is a big patch about 19 miles by road & maybe 10 miles by River from here. I love to stop & look at them when we pass by there. Hope you took lots of photos that day.
