I found photographing in Morocco a challenge. I do not refer to the paucity of the sites both exotic and hauntingly beautiful. It was the feeling of being an annoying presence I could not shake off while walking around with the camera at the ready. The places frequented by the tourists with the businesses catering to them would be warmer by a degree. Not so stepping away from them – the temperature drops noticeably and if you fancy yourself a street photographer be prepared for dirty looks and insults not exactly muttered under one’s breath, if you know what I mean… May be I would feel the same living in the heavily visited areas of Fez or Essaouira. May be not.
