There were many photos I made in Budapest, the difficulty was in selection and it was especially difficult for this batch of images because many of them were so much about the city and the surreal feel I had there; normal-looking, contemporary people inhabit the city but one can easily forget they live in the 21st century - the streets, cafes, restaurants, grand old buildings and palaces have the vibe of timelessness... I did visit the suburbs where this feel is conspicuously absent, perhaps as one would expect. The old Budapest to me was, as I hoped to find it, evocative and full of charm.
