Clear skies in the afternoon promise a golden sunset but in October a mist rolls in soaking up the light and colours before the sun sets. One solution is height. Mt. Vully is the highest point between the lakes commanding exellent views of the Alps and the sunset over the Jura. Unfortunately I left the tripod at home so many exposures have had alternative post-processing effects applied to beef up the detail.
