“War doesn’t take away the body,
War takes away the soul.”

On November 16th, 2015, the losses of soldiers in the Ukrainian army totaled 2075.
Of these losses, 85 were the result of suicide.

Hope (the wing) as a result of war turns into dejection (the snake).

The snake intends to eat the Easter egg (symbol of hope and love). The painting was made after reading the news that a 55-year participant of ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation) blew himself up with a grenade in Kyiv. Those affected by dejection don’t have the will to live and resort to suicide.

Dejection needs to be cured with love.
