Fishing stages in Newfoundland range all the way from shacks built from scavanged lumber and driftwood - all the way to elaborate government-built facilities. These photos are just wonderful and are making me too homesick. I played on the beach around Silvey's wharf when i was a kid..........my grandmother,Mary Turner Walsh married Joe Silvey aftr her first husband died. Thanks so much.

Great pics! Next time you're in Newfoundland you should check out the Party Shed in the backyards. Known as "Da Shed". Some very unique ones here.
