There's an old saying amongst inshore fishermen in Newfoundland (and amongst the clergy as well): "When you can't see the lighthouse, steer for the church".
And this Anglican church in Newtown, Bonavista Bay, is a great example of this.
This iconic, glowing white church with it's tall steeple is visible for miles in this very flat landscape.
