Things I Saw When Not in a Raft on the Lower Yough
Three cars full of unsuspecting individuals went rafting on the Lower Youghiogheny River in southwestern Pennsylvania. Save one person, noone had captained a raft through Class III and IV rapids. As frequent dousings and being tossed overboard in the rapids is not conducive to photography (or more precisely, conducive to returning with both intact camera and dry film), these are pictures of other stuff. The grounds of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater house, a cafe near the raft put-in site in Ohiopyle, PA and other exotic locales are explored in their Fuji-enhanced splendor. The soft-focus and multi-exposure panorama shots were taken with my Holga; the other with a trusty manual SLR.
