For the last few years my wife and I have been holidaying in Turkey at Dalyan which is a small resort on the Lycian Coast not far from Dalaman airport. Dalyan is a wonderful place and highly recommended.
Whilst this is a non birding holiday, most days I have an early morning walk around some of the farm fields on the outskirts of the town and down to the edge of the marsh. We will usually also visit the ancient ruins at Caunos, the Iztuzu beach (famous for its nesting Loggerhead Turtles) and Lake Koycegiz all of which have some birding interest. The images here have been collected over several years - do not expect to see all of these in any one visit ! Most of these images were taken with a Canon DLSR with either a 100-400mm zoom or 400mm DO prime lens. I do not usually take my telescope and digiscoping camera with me so I have certainly missed some photo opportunities.
