Leaving Cannakale we had a short drive to the site of the ruins of the famous city of Troy. This was perhaps the least interesting of all the ancient sites which we visited - there is not that much to see and if it were not for the well known historical or mythical significance I doubt whether many people would want to visit it. The entrance to the site is dominated by a somewhat unlikely representation of the Wooden Horse of Troy.
