Pied-billed Grebe

(podilymbus podiceps)
The Pied-billed Grebe is a bird of the Americas and is a vagrant on this side of the Atlantic. This bird was located on Loch Thom near Greenock in Renfrewshire and is the first occurrence for the Clyde Area. It is also the 12th (or maybe the 13th) record for Scotland.
