Galapagos-Mosquera

We left the shelter of the Genovesa crater bay at dusk and were immediately assailed by the roughest sea that we encountered on the whole trip. All thoughts of packing were abandoned and I took refuge in my bunk and thankfully managed to avoid the dreaded sea-sickness.
Before dawn we arrived off the small island of Mosquera which lies in the channel between North Seymour and Baltra (South Seymour). This was our last landing of the trip and to be honest it was just a time filler. We had a pleasant walk-about for a couple of hours looking at sea lions and relaxing on the beautiful white sand beach. We then headed back to the Reina Silvia and make the short sail to the harbour at Baltra where our adventure had begun - though only a week ago it felt like a different time zone. We disembarked at Baltra harbour and made the short bus journey back to the airport and from there we flew to Quito in mainland Ecuador.
