The White-winged Cliff-Chat is endemic to the Ethiopian highlands where it can be quite common in some areas. As its name implies, it is most often found in rocky hilsides and gorges and in boulder strewn areas. These birds were photographed in Axum around the famous stelae field of standing and fallen obelisks.
