Steve Hislop was a Hawick man who rode and raced the motorcycle circuits around the world, from the UK and the Isle of Man to the Far East. He won numerous races, trophies, championships and friends during his racing career which was cut short by a tragic helicopter crash only 7 or 8 miles to the south of Hawick.

But his memory lives on, those who knew him or watched him will all have their favourites, and each year he his remembered by hundreds of bikers and thousands of spectators lining the route of the Steve Hislop Memorial Run.
