In front of a packed canteen of fellow employees at Barrie Knitwear, Acting Father Malcolm Grant received gifts which included cufflinks, photo box and specially commissioned cashmere blanket/throw in recognition of his appointment for the 2009 Common Riding.

Rob Halliday chaired and made the presentation during which Kate Rayner recited the Dave Hill poem ‘The Vertish Hill’ and tea, coffee and cakes were served by ladies of the office staff.
