This shows the panel mounting system. 8 ft. aluminum angle, 1-1/2" by 1-1/2" is laid across the goat rail and u-bolted to it. AMSolar swivel foot mounts are screwed to aluminum angle. Hand screws that hold the panels to the mounts can be loosened and struts inserted to tilt panels toward the sun in winter. In summer, I max out all day without tilting. Panels don't have to be so far outboard but I wanted a safe walking area on the roof. I have had them up there for over 2 years now and never encountered a problem with them being out to the edges. They are just under 96" outside to outside, so they are legal and anyplace the coach can fit, so can they.
