Roseisle Rape

Roseisle, Moray, Scotland.

Roseisle is a largely flat area rich in agricultural landscapes. During late Spring the fields are often ablaze with yellow rape. It makes a delightful contrast of colour when the sky is velvet blue and the trees edging the fields are fresh with new growth. Fortunately there is one small area of Roseisle that features a hill with a ridge of Scots pine trees apparently marching down the slope. This gives the picture a needed sense of place and adds a further point of interest to a study which is largely one of texture and colour contrasts.
