Flower Power

Kilconquhar, near Pittenweem, Fife, Scotland.

One of the most fabulous displays of poppies I have ever had the good fortune to stumble across. It was totally unexpected and I was on my way to a wedding. I returned the next day and spent the best part of 5 hours photographing it with the kind permission of the farmer. This was taken after a storm had passed and the sky had lightened significantly. No direct sunlight but bags of detail in the flowers. The red and white is I feel even stronger than a field of just bright red poppies.

NEW!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Please don't forget to notice the purple with the red and white in the lower right portion of the photograph...that just popped out at me. So beautiful, I really have no words...
