Although these beautiful lavender beds have been planted by man in the most astounding converging rows the thrum of bees, shimmering flower heads and heavenly scent is overwhelmingly natural. I just concentrated on the geometric pattern and found myself pleased by the natural imperfections taking centre stage such as the sparse stems of wild oat and occasional alien intrusion from broad leafed greenery.
