Low tide Lossiemouth.

Lossiemouth, Moray, Scotland.

A small green seaweed covered stump sticks out of the rippled sand flats of Lossiemouth beach at sunset. The last rays of sunlight pick out the tiny ridges formed by draining sea water and walnut whip spirals of ragworm casts adding interest and texture to an otherwise featureless beach. Wet sand enabled me to use the sky's reflection to inject a little more colour into this shot.
