On Golden Pond

Near Kinloch Hourn, Highlands, Scotland.

At the end of a 22 mile cul de sac lies Kinloch Hourn, on the way to it you pass some of the most astonishingly varied landscape in Scotland. This intimate little landscape took a while to realise, but the intense golden colour of the unoxidised bedrock under a pool of water was a stunning and stark contrast to the black algae covered rock surrounding it. I juxtaposed this with the tumbling waterfall nearby which is picking up the blue of the overhead sky in the tumbling foam of the water.

the way you can capture nature is like a sculptor releasing the sculpture
that's inside a piece of stone or wood.
it's already there but it takes an artist to let you see what's inside.
tanks for letting me see this sculpture!
