Sundown High Sierras

White Mountain, High Sierras, california, USA.

It hardly looks possible that this colour light can exist but when you're up high and surrounded by alpine glow catching the very last rays of sunset the colour of the light is almost orange and affects everything that is lit in its path. of course the unlit areas tend to deep blue which is the exact complement of the orange light so the result is very attactive. The reason i was on top of white mountain was to see for myself the oldest trees in the world the Bristle cone pines.
